On April 22, 2024, Purple Tree Cafe opened its first brick-and-mortar cafe at the UC Davis MIND Institute in Sacramento!
The new cafe, which is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00am until 2:00pm, will be serving Purple Tree's full range of handcrafted vegan baked goods and organic teas in addition to flavored coffee and espresso.

The UC Davis MIND Institute is "an interdisciplinary, collaborative research, clinical, and educational center committed to deepening our scientific understanding of the challenges associated with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions." They serve people with disabilities on a daily basis in their medical clinic and are part of the larger UC Davis Medical Center campus in Sacramento. We cannot think of a better location or partner organization given the population Purple Tree serves.

Davis Community Church has been one of Purple Tree's primary partners since 2018. They provide Purple Tree with commercial kitchen space 2 to 3 days per week at no cost to Purple Tree. They also support Purple Tree with storage and meeting space for trainings and events.
